Terms & Conditions
Acceptance of Quotation
1
• Quotations are valid for 30 days from date of issue.
• Acceptance may be made in writing (email/SMS), by signed approval, or by authorising commencement of work.
• Acceptance constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
Scope of Works

• Quotations include only the works specifically detailed.
• Any works not listed are excluded.
• Variations or additional works requested by the client, or required due to unforeseen circumstances, will be charged at our standard rates and must be approved prior to commencement (verbal approval accepted).
Pricing

• All prices are in AUD and are exclusive of GST
• Pricing is based on visible site conditions and information supplied at time of quoting.
• Additional charges may apply for:
• Non-compliant existing wiring
• Damaged or deteriorated cabling
• Switchboard upgrades required for compliance
• Limited roof or subfloor access
• Structural obstructions
• Discovery of asbestos may be subject to job cancellation
Payment Terms

• A deposit may be required for materials or projects exceeding $500.
• Progress payments may apply to larger projects.
• Final payment is due within 7 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Late payments may incur:
• Interest at 10% per month
• Recovery costs, including debt collection and legal fees
Materials remain the property of Wired By Coffey Pty Ltd until full payment is received.
Variations & Unforeseen Work

If additional work is required due to:
• Existing installation not meeting AS/NZS 3000:2018
• Load calculations requiring additional circuits
• Supply authority requirements
• Client changes to scope
A variation will be issued and charged accordingly.
Compliance

All electrical work will be carried out in accordance with:
• AS/NZS 3000:2018 (Wiring Rules)
• WAER
• Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991
• Local supply authority requirements
Where existing installations are unsafe or non-compliant, rectification may be required before new works can proceed.
Access & Site Conditions

• Safe and clear access must be provided.
• Furniture and valuables must be moved prior to arrival.
• If site access is unavailable at scheduled time, a call-out fee may apply.
• Additional charges may apply where excessive time is required due to site conditions.
Switchboard & RCD Compliance

If the existing switchboard does not comply with current safety standards (including RCD requirements), upgrades may be mandatory before additional circuits or alterations are completed.
Underground & Concealed Services

Wired By Coffey Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility for damage to:
• Undisclosed underground services
• Concealed pipework or cabling not reasonably identifiable
Dial Before You Dig enquiries will be made where applicable; however, the client is responsible for confirming private service locations.
Warranty

• Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from completion.
• Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied products.
• Warranty does not cover:
• Damage caused by misuse or third parties
• Power surges, water ingress, vermin, or accidental damage
• Pre-existing faults in existing wiring
Exclusions

Unless stated otherwise, this quotation excludes:
• Painting or plaster repairs
• Civil works or trenching
• Builder’s works
• Engineering certification
• Supply authority fees
• Asbestos removal
Cancellations

• Cancellations within 24 hours of scheduled works may incur a service fee.
• Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered.
Limitation of Liability

Wired By Coffey Pty Ltd’s liability is limited to the value of the works supplied. We are not liable for consequential loss, business interruption, or indirect damages.
Power Isolation

Power supply may be interrupted during works. The client is responsible for protecting sensitive equipment prior to commencement.
Dispute Resolution

Any dispute will first be addressed through negotiation. If unresolved, parties agree to mediation prior to legal proceedings.
